In the demanding world of caregiving, healthcare, therapy, and other high-stress professions, burnout can take a profound toll on our well-being. “Reclaim & Renew” is a weekend retreat specifically designed for adult professionals in these fields who are seeking to recover from burnout, rejuvenate their spirit, and rediscover their passion for their work. This event is co-led by LIGHT Movement and The Refuge at La Foret, with collaboration from other non-profits and experts in the field.


“Reclaim & Renew” provides a sanctuary for healing and self-care through a combination of somatic practices, intentional play, and supportive community engagement. This retreat offers a comprehensive approach to addressing burnout, focusing on physical, emotional, and relational recovery.

  • Somatic Healing Practices: Engage in a range of body-centered therapies including mindful movement, restorative yoga, and breathwork. These practices are aimed at helping you reconnect with your body, release accumulated stress, and cultivate a deeper sense of balance and vitality.

Join us for “Growing With Our Grief,” a transformative weekend retreat designed to help individuals and families navigate the complex journey of grief through somatic practices and integrative workshops. Held in a serene and supportive environment, this retreat aims to provide a nurturing space where participants of all ages can explore and grow through their grief experiences.

“Growing With Our Grief” offers a holistic approach to understanding and integrating grief, emphasizing the connection between body and mind. Co-led by LIGHT Movement and The Refuge at La Foret, this retreat will feature a series of workshops and activities led by experienced facilitators from a diverse range of non-profits and grief support organizations. Each session is designed to help participants process their emotions, connect with their bodies, and discover new ways to navigate their grief journey.

About The Retreats Organizer: Amy Pickett-Williams, LCSW, RYT has been providing grief psychotherapy for over 25 years. She brings a somatic-based (mind/body/spirit) perspective to her practice. As a yoga teacher, she believes these tools need to be accessible to all people to support healing and growth from their grief and trauma.
